Cookies
Cookies are small text sent from a website and stored on the user's device by the user's web browser while the user is browsing. They are designed to be a reliable mechanism for websites to remember stateful information or to record the user's browsing activity. Terranova uses two types of cookies: session and persistent.
The session cookies allow the User a safe and efficient navigation of the website; these cookies are not stored permanently on the User’s device and they are deleted with the closure of the browser. The persistent cookies are transmitted to the User’s device the first time he connects to the Terranova’s web site and are stored on the device itself. Terranova uses persistent cookies to store user preferences.
Management of cookies
The user can decide whether to accept cookies by configuring the browser’s settings.
Warning: totally or partially disabling technical cookies may compromise some features of the web site reserved for registered users.
On the contrary, the usage of public contents is possible also completely disabling the cookies.This setting can be defined for each web sites and web applications.Moreover, the best browsers allow defining different settings for "proprietary" and "third parties" cookies.
For example, in Firefox, through Tools ->Options ->Privacy; it is possible to access a control panel to define whether accept different types of cookies or not and remove them.
